Stuart Miller

Stuart has over 30 years’ experience in financial services. He is the Chief Customer Officer at Newcastle Building Society, Group board member and Director of their Financial Advice subsidiary. He is an associate of the charted institute of bankers and a certified customer experience professional. He oversees a team of around 500 colleagues who are responsible for branch distribution, marketing, mortgage distribution, operations, telephony, and mortgages and savings product lines. Stuart’s recent achievements include growing branch numbers whilst almost doubling gross mortgage lending in 2019 despite significant market headwinds. During his time at Virgin Money his team doubled branch saving balances and cross product holdings in 3 years. Stuart’s focus for 2020 is to deliver on the building society’s purpose of connecting their communities with a better financial future.
